ILM Level 3 Certificate in Effective Management

Overview

The purpose of the ILM Level 3 Certificate in Effective Management is to give practising or potential managers the foundation for their formal development in this role. The qualification does this by building on and broadening the understanding gained in the Award and developing basic Leadership and Effective Management skills and assisting participants in gaining the basic knowledge required by a manager. There are four mandatory units focussing on managing change and achieving objectives, supported by further optional units from a wide selection to ensure that the Certificate can be fully tailored to meet the varying needs of candidates across all employment sectors.

  • Planning Change in the Workplace
  • Achieving Objectives through Time Management

Optional Units

Additional Optional Units are required for this Certificate. These include for example topics such as Building the Team, Motivating to Perform in the Workplace, Managing Performance, Managing Stress and Conflict in the Workplace, Coaching and Training Your Work Team, Providing Quality to Customers, Planning to Work Efficiently, Organising and Delegating, Giving Briefings, Making Presentations and Effective Meetings for Managers. Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but participants will normally be either practising or aspiring first line managers with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.
