Working as part of a professional team within a clean manufacturing environment where the highest of quality standards are observed, you will be responsible for conducting routine maintenance, attending to breakdowns and carrying out engineering projects. In line with the company’s continuous improvement ethos, you will participate in training others in technical skills and in proactively finding improved ways of working.

Qualified to HNC level in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, you will have a strong working knowledge of both disciplines. You will have experience working with PLCs and will be competent in the use of Continuous Improvement tools, such as TPM, and LEAN. Our client is keen to appoint an Engineer who is committed, flexible, well-motivated, organised and analytically minded.

With a team of 35 in a make-to-order assembly and press shop environment and many product variations, you will need to need to not only have a thorough knowledge of Press Work (up to 100T) and CNC Press programming. You will also need to have confident leadership and motivation skills.

The ideal candidate for this newly created role will have a good working knowledge of modern manufacturing control systems including MRP-II and Kanban, plus a familiarity with ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 and 6-Sigma.
