ILM Level 3 Award in Effective Management

Overview

The purpose of the ILM Level 3 Award in Effective Management is to allow practicing and potential first line managers to develop knowledge and skills. The qualification does this by developing a range of basic management skills aligned to the specific needs of the learner and therefore offering a great degree of flexibility. Candidates can choose any combination of units totalling 5 credits or more (not to exceed 12 credits).

Optional Units

Organisations can choose any combination of Optional Units totalling a minimum of 5 and maximum of 12 credits. These include for example topics such as Understanding and Planning Change in the Workplace, Motivating to Perform in the Workplace, Managing Performance, Managing Stress and Conflict in the Workplace, Coaching and Training Your Work Team, Providing Quality to Customers, Planning to Work Efficiently, Organising and Delegating and Effective Meetings for Managers. Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but participants will normally be either practising or aspiring first line managers with the opportunity to meet any assessment demands and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.
