Employee Engagement Seminar
The Employee Engagement Seminar, hosted by eras Ltd and Pure, was held on Thursday 28th January 2016 at Paddocks House hotel, Newmarket. The event also highlighted the launch of this years’ Best Employers Eastern Region survey, a free employee engagement survey which is open every two years and open from April to September, the survey is free to take part and is used by organisations such as Benefit Cosmetics, the overall Best Employer winner for 2014, to engage with their employees for effective decision-making.
Attended by over 100 representatives from the region’s leading businesses, we were delighted to be joined by senior business leaders sharing their experiences and strategies for engaged employees. Sharron Pomells, Head of People Operations, Virgin Management Ltd covered the critical focus areas for successful employee engagement programmes and shared some of the innovative programmes run by Virgin with the audience in a Q&A interview, chaired by Margaret Burnside from eras Ltd.

Cathy Brown from the national employee engagement group ‘Engage for Success’. Cathy walked through the latest findings on employee engagement and the impact this continues to have on a businesses’ bottom line.
Steve Turpie, Director and Founder of ASD1 Limited - which specialises in Finance, M&A, Operations and Transformational Change - addressed adding purpose to a business, where employees feel that it is “more than just a job”, and its impact on employees.
Pure’s Gill Buchanan, Director, shared the results of running Best Employers Eastern Region across the organisation and how Pure have approached employee engagement.
