Worldwide Fruit - Coaching Culture
“I attended the first ERAS CMI level 5 Certificate and Diploma in Management Coaching and Mentoring during 2013 and quickly became convinced coaching was the way to change the culture at Worldwide Fruit. In October and November 2013 we ran a two day Coaching Conversations course with all Directors and Managers of people. The course gave an excellent introduction to coaching and mentoring, and inspired our managers to ask more “how” and “why” questions, rather than giving staff the answers, in the old traditional way.
Our Staff Opinion survey this autumn revealed that 71% of staff agreed they could see a difference in the culture and understood the business was trying to coach people to improve.
We have a 6 day CMI Coaching programme designed to begin in March 2015. Seven delegates from around the business will attend and this will give us an internal pool of coaches and mentors.
