What Is A Situational Judgement Test?
Situational judgement tests (SJTs) present realistic scenarios and ask people how they would respond. They are commonly used as part of recruitment processes, graduate assessment programmes and assessment centres to explore judgement and decision-making in context.
The exercise below is a light-hearted example inspired by the BBC's The Traitors. You'll be presented with nine scenarios and asked which response best reflects how you would approach each situation. There are no right or wrong answers, and your responses are processed entirely within your browser.
Unlike personality questionnaires, situational judgement tests assess what people believe would be an appropriate course of action in a given situation. They can provide useful insight into judgement and decision-making, although knowing what to do and actually doing it are not always the same thing.
